End of Year Cruise
2nd Annual Year End Cruise
Let’s start with the fact that we had beautiful weather for the end of October. Blue skies, few clouds and minimal wind. Along with 14 cars and 24 people, all great ingredients for a terrific day!
Our Year End Cruise was the book end to another great season of First State Mustang Ford Club and Car Cruising! We started the year with the Mustang Day Cruise to Lancaster, PA and Barry’s Car Barn, we ended it with a cruise to Rock Hall, MD and Waterman’s Crab House.
The cruise from Middletown, DE to was about 50 minutes along back roads that passed farmlands and open space. There was very little traffic to contend with, which made the ride even better. Once we reached the restaurant, we took a group photo and went inside to enjoy lunch overlooking the Rock Hall Harbor. Meals consisted of fish & chips. shrimp salad wraps, fish tacos, hamburgers, soups and salads. The waitstaff were awesome with our food and drink orders, and everything was on point. They were very accommodating with our large group, from table set up to separate checks.
Once we were all finished eating and socializing, we cruised on home, taking a different route and then split to our various destinations. It was a great way to end the cruising year as a group. We had a few more cars and people than last year and hopefully the attendance continues to increase and more members join us in the future. However, it isn’t always about the number of people that attend, it is about those that do attend and the camaraderie amongst club members.
For all that was there, thank you for Joining Us for the Ride!
