Cecilton Parish Car Show

On Saturday, August 8, several members of First State Mustang and Ford Club caravanned to Cecilton, Maryland to attend the Cecilton Parish Car Show.  All proceeds from their show benefit St. Paul’s and Zion Churches.

We were parked in a nice area to display our cars together and be able to sit together as a club.  With the anticipation of the temperature and sun, we had access to tents and a portable fan to help us stay cool.

This show draws many older cars, all beautiful and well loved, however there were some newer ones, which belonged to some of our members.  With over 80 cars on display, it was hard to pick the top 3 for the People’s Choice Trophy. However, when it was time for the winners of the 20 People’s Choice Trophies to be announced, we were very happy and surprised that two of our own won.

Congratulations to Shannon Marchiani and Ed Yaworski. We also had a couple of our members win one of their cool door prizes.

It was a great show, and we made it home before a fast-moving rainstorm came through. It is a show that will be attended again next year, maybe more members will join us.

At the end of the show, we took a photo of our cars with the hoods down. This in memory of John Rosko who always felt that our cars looked better with the hoods down.
