Since 2021, Porter Ford has supported the First State Mustang and Ford Club’s bi-yearly car shows, May and October.

 

This entails an abundance of work for Porter Management and their employees by having to move their car and truck inventory to another site so that our car show can take place in the parking lot in front of their showroom.

They also need to have an employee or two on site so that they can open their showroom to prospective clients and allow show guests to look at the cars on display in the showroom, to have a place to cool off or warm up, depending on the weather, and to be able to use the facilities.

Porter Ford sponsors our club in those ways and more. They help our club have a venue to enjoy our Mustangs and Fords with fellow enthusiasts.  We are able to have an area for our charity auction to raise money for a local charity selected by our club. This allows the First State Mustang and Ford Club (FSMFC) to give back to our community with the help of Porter Ford.  Porter also picks the Dealer’s Choice Trophy for the Ford they deem best.  With a food vendor, a DJ, the charity auction, the trophies and the location, FSMFC could not hold our car show without Porter Ford’s generosity and support.

In October 2024, under circumstances beyond anyone's control, and this year due to high inventory, FSMFC had to move the show location to the Aetna Hook & Ladder parking lot next to Porter Ford.  They helped with this new location and continue to support our shows there.

Porter Ford also does more to donate and give back to the community with their own charity drives.

As members of First State Mustang and Ford Club, we should remember to support them as well.  Whether it is the purchase of a vehicle, using their service department or purchasing parts from them, it is good to help the local dealership that supports us.
