2025 National Mustang Day Cruise
Happy Birthday to the Mustang! On Saturday, April 19, First State Mustang and Ford Club celebrated with a cruise down to Lewes, DE. Our first meet up was at Wawa in Middletown. After our hellos and some members grabbing a Wawa breakfast sandwich, 15 cars followed DE BOSS, Club President Tim Narvell down Route 9 from Townsend to Dover. It was a nice winding road with the only major obstacle was safely driving around some bicyclists also enjoying the spring day. Picking up 2 more cars at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Dover we headed down Route 1 to Lewes. As we drove down, George Long, FSFMC’s Treasurer, took the lead and we all arrived safely at The Wheelhouse, just over the bridge in Lewes. We all waved hello to Bob Maass as he filmed us at the top of the bridge.
The Wheelhouse had an area set aside for us on the outside of the restaurant over looking the canal and charter fishing boats. After a delicious, very filling lunch, and talking with our fellow members, we all parted ways. Some club members took a stroll through downtown Lewes and their various shops, while others headed back north towards home.

Even though it was an overcast day, we had a great turn out and a great time with other club members. Hopefully next year other club members will be available to join us to celebrate the birth of the Ford Mustang!!
